Outline

1. Establishes the fact of the early connection between the mother and child and the long-term effects of that environment. Establishes the basic requirements of "love" in terms of basic requirements of physiological function and the long-term effects of not meeting these "setpoint" requirements.

2. The function of neurotransmitters and endorphins, and how love affects these systems.

3. The "outside affects the inside" concept. The effect of love or lack thereof on brain center development.

4. Touch as a critical element of survival. Brain centers relative to touch. The effects of early affection, or lack thereof, related to affection in later developmental periods.

5. Pain and repression: the survival mechanism that allows survival of early trauma.  Long term effects of repression and ability to overcome the effects.

6. Case study in Primal: Breaking through the defense and connecting. What is on the other side.
